HDPE Boron plate radiation barrier

5% Boron HDPE radiation shielding sheets are specially designed for nuclear shielding applications. They are composed of 5% Boron by weight, while the rest of the sheet is made of HDPE. The Boron in these sheets shields against neutrons in a wide array of applications, including X-rays, nuclear submarines, cancer treatment facilities, and nuclear power plants. At a lower cost and lighter weight than lead, HDPE radiation shielding sheets can be used to replace lead in nuclear shielding applications. Available offer certified and inspected material.

Radiation shielding specialty-grade HDPE is a suitable replacement for lead where nuclear shielding materials are necessary. This includes areas where radiation exposure will be constant as well as environments where radiation is expected for short bursts of time.
